The Wallace Silversmiths
Wallace Silversmiths is one of the oldest silver companies and most successful in the United States. Founded in 1833 by Robert Wallace, the silverware was made to the criteria of excellent innovation, design and quality. Even to this day, every single piece of Wallace Silverware Hallmark bears not only business but also the rules of Wallace's reputation for beauty, elegance and durability.
Robert Wallace was born in 1815, in Scotland, a family from a long line of silversmith. At the time he was 16, began his apprenticeship in Meriden Britannia Company led by Captain William Mix. At the time he was 28, he began producing his own spoons in his own shop. In one of her shopping trips in New York, he encountered a piece of cutlery made of nickel alloy called German silver, impressed by her strength and beauty, found the chemical that has the formula and bought it. Wallace Distinguishing patterns
