Basket Liner Black
It is entirely possible to have fresh food that grew yourself, even if you live in a mobile home park land with hardly any United Nations prepared to call their own. No, I will not dig up that little patch of lawn and getting yourself expelled. I refer to the suspended container gardening.
You may be surprised at what can grow in a hanging container. Anything that does not need much root space will do well. Berries such as strawberries are common Hanging pots. Tomatoes good too, especially in light of weight cherry varieties as well as many types of lettuce and other vegetables.
To make a hanging basket classic, find a wire frame, wire mesh basket or even a solid plastic. Plastic pots can be used safely if it can be constructed in way to hang them. You will also need a liner for any basket with holes in it. A shell need to retain soil, but water drainage. Materials coating commonly used in the basket include moss and coir, but can also use a large piece of an old wool sweater. Alternatively, a bag black plastic with small holes got into it a few inches above the bottom will do the trick.
You want to find a soil rich in nutrients, preferably fresh compost. The highest concentration of nutrients, better, as the performance and food quality will be higher. Moreover, from a container can dry quickly in hot weather, adding water retention granules can be a good idea. These swell in irrigation and release their moisture slowly.
For multiple layers of plantings in a wire frame or a perforated basket otherwise well, fill the container with part of the ground and then add seedlings from behind fruits like strawberries, tomatoes and small pumpkins and cucumber varieties. Lettuce also can be planted as it is out of the sides of the basket, and can be planted very densely. Harvest the larger leaves as desired, leaving intact plant to continue growing.
Hanging Gardens are also an excellent way to have fresh herbs and spices on hand. Almost all herbs can be planted in one. Try oregano, rosemary, thyme or tarragon. Basil is an herb that will have to be planted every year, but the other varieties that I mentioned must return every spring, and even, as is the case with rosemary, leaves provide usable year-round in moderate climates.
